The village lies on the sunny side of the South Downs and this has been appreciated from the Iron Age to the present day. It has a magnificent church with fine acoustics close to an historic pub.

The present building is of late 11th or early 12th century and is of the two-cell type of that period of early Norman design.

As you visit the church you will feel that great sense of history. This is a solid, robust church which has witnessed to the changes and chances of a fleeting world over many centuries. When you visit it do give thanks to God for those who have cared for this church over the times past. Give thanks too for all who have worshipped there in years past and also continue to worship here week by week. They have a regular service every Sunday at 9.30 am. Why not join them sometime?
